Pollywogg Holler Eco Resort
The pear trees are blooming in Central Park, which means spring will soon land in Belmont, New York — a teeny town west of Elmira and home to Pollywogg Holler, a compound that's part Adirondack-style camp, part eco resort. The facility offers seven different rooms: four snug lodges (we like the Sauna Lodge), two camp-style open cabins (best experienced in summer), and a geodesic dome where you can live out your Sleeper fantasies. A night's stay includes a hearty dinner served on a hand-carved table made from a wind-blown tree.
Pollywogg Holler, 6240 South Road, Belmont, NY; 585-268-5819.
