Vintage clothing is nice. But, not everyone can rock a Stepford dress or Designer-Women shoulder pads. Actually — even if you could, you shouldn’t. But, while the styles might be out, some of the fabrics are still relevant and in great shape. And that's the stuff that Preloved, a Toronto-based label that specializes in future-wear built out of clothing from the past, lives for. Thrift store finds and discarded fabrics are the inspiration and base of all their one-of-a-kind pieces. And the Prelove is growing. They just launched a kids line, home and accessories collections are on their way, they have stores in Toronto, Montreal, and Sydney, and their pieces are sold in Anthropologie. And, when not managing all this, founder Julia Grieve is a guest mentor on Project Runway Canada. Doesn’t look like Prelove is going auf wiedersehen any time soon.
