A Terry Situation

Andreas Linzner Vintage Toys and Robes

Reusing strangers' old bath towels. In theory: disgusting. In practice: may not be so bad. And leave it to the über-resourceful Germans to do it with style. Designer Andreas Linzner pulls from the limited but beautiful selection of vintage terrycloth he's collected over the years to create offhandedly hip toddler-sized bathrobes and stuffed animals. (Bonus: If you're up on your deutsch, order a custom plush toy on Linzner's site.) The mini designs aren't cheap, but are just the thing for parents — and reluctant baby shower go-ers — who like their kids' goods not only eco-friendly but slightly unsweetened.

Available at A+R, 1716 Silver Lake Boulevard, Los Angeles; 323-913-9558.
