Taste of Taza
100% Stoneground Chocolate
If you think knowing where your food comes from is a good thing, then you’ll love Taza Organic Chocolate and their website’s “See How Your Batch Was Made” tool. Just punch in the code on your wrapper, and up will pop more information than you’d ever care to know about a $4.50 bar of chocolate — the organic bean’s origin (with a bio of the farmer), the date it was harvested, even the length of time (to the minute) that the bean was fermented, dried, and roasted. It is not as fun as flying in a Wonkavator, but it's interesting to see. Plus, knowing they are so involved in every bit of the process adds a sprinkling of love that you can almost taste in the already bold, rich, and absolutely delectable chocolate. Who can say "no" to love?
Comes in Yerba Mate, Guajillo Chili, Cinnamon, Salted Almond, and a variety of darks. Buy at tazachocolate.com.
