Blue Angel Wines

Oenephile Kym Apotas and organic foodie Norah Kelly had a meeting of the minds and what a brainchild they produced: Blue Angel Wines, a new Williamsburg nook of a wine boutique. Apotas, former wine buyer for Astor Wines & Spirits, carries 150 wines — of which all hail from small production farms and 70 percent are organic. The store is eco friendly too: The walls are covered in salvaged knotty pine from Central Park barns and the shop will soon be running entirely on wind power. Tastings are year round and, as long as no icicles are dangling, will be held in the charming backyard.

Blue Angel Wines, 638 Grand Street, btwn Leonard and Manhattan Avenues, Brooklyn; 718-388-2210.
