Waste and Confused

Trash: Anycoloryoulike Installation

Proving that one person’s trash is another’s pink, polka-dotted treasure, NYC- and Berlin-based artist Adrian (last names are for squares) wants to prettify your waste. His summer-long public art installation, TRASH: anycoloryoulike, involves secretly dressing sidewalk trash bags in cheery biodegradable outfits — ostensibly beautifying the city while calling attention to the piles ‘o crap we all produce. Avant-garde eco art project or juvenile gimmick? No comment, but we're thinking the design could have been just a little more, well, arty.
