"The Feast" Conference
According to Webster's, the word "maverick" originally meant "motherless calf." But especially of late, there's a strong Tom Cruise in Top Gun connotation – as in, he or she who flies outside the box. Or as in All Day Buffet, the NYC-based group of “creative mavericks” whose intriguing first-time conference takes place next week. Dubbed “The Feast,” the one-day series of events features headliners like Dickson Despommier (the man behind vertical farms) and Chad Rhea (founder, ecopop).
